Terms of use and sale

These terms govern the use of the Glub app, published by Florian Rochault (see the legal notice), and the Premium subscription. By creating an account, you accept them.

1. The service

Glub is a travel social network. You can post recommendations (a specific place to recommend) and experiences (your story, with or without a place), always with at least one photo or video. You can save the community's posts in your collections, find them on My map, share your collections with the people who follow you, and join groups to meet other travelers and chat with them. Basic use is free. The Premium subscription lifts some limits (see articles 7 and 8).

2. Your account

• You must be at least 16 years old.
• One account per person. The information you provide (first name, date of birth, gender, city) must be accurate.
• Your email address must be confirmed to activate your account.
• You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for what is done from your account.
• The gender chosen at sign-up can no longer be changed in the app. If you made a mistake, write to us.

3. Community rules

Glub is built on trust between its members. It is forbidden to:

• harass, threaten, insult or humiliate anyone;
• post hateful, racist, sexist, homophobic or discriminatory content;
• post violent, pornographic or illegal content, or content showing minors inappropriately;
• impersonate someone, or lie about your age or gender;
• send spam, or solicit members for commercial purposes without the publisher's consent;
• post fake reviews, or recommend a place, product or service in exchange for payment or a benefit without clearly saying so (hidden advertising);
• post other people's personal information (address, phone number…) without their consent;
• misuse the app or try to get around its security.

"Women only" groups are reserved for women's profiles. Some words are filtered automatically.

4. What you post

You remain the owner of your content (texts, photos, videos). By posting it, you allow Glub to host it and show it to other users in the app, free of charge and only to run the service, for as long as it is online. You guarantee that you have the right to post this content, including the consent of the people who appear in it.

Your collections are private. When you share a collection with someone who follows you, they see its up-to-date content, including the posts you add later, and they can make a copy of their own. They are notified when you add posts to it. You can remove a post from a collection or delete the collection at any time.

You can also share a post (yours or another member's) or one of your collections by link. Anyone with this link can then see that post or collection on a page of the glubapp.com website, even without an account: its content, with its author's username and profile picture. These pages are not listed by search engines. You can turn off the link of one of your collections at any time, and a deleted post or collection is no longer visible.

Group messages are erased automatically after one month.

5. Reports and moderation

You can report a message, a group or a member. The reported person does not know who reported them. The Glub team reviews reports and may, depending on the seriousness, remove content or suspend or delete an account, without notice in case of serious breach. Clearly illegal content is removed as soon as we become aware of it.

6. Meeting people

Groups let members meet, but Glub does not organize these meetings and does not verify members' identity. Everyone remains responsible for their own behavior and safety. Our advice: choose public places for a first meeting, tell someone close to you, and report any worrying behavior.

7. Free account limits

Without a Premium subscription, you can:

• read, post, comment and save without limit, and use My map and its filters;
• create 3 collections;
• share your collections with the people who follow you;
• join as many groups as you like, and create 1.

Opening the collections other members share with you is reserved for Premium: you are notified when you receive one, and you can access it as soon as you go Premium.

8. The Premium subscription

Plans and prices

• Monthly: €2.99 per month, with a 12-month commitment, then renewed every month.
• Yearly: €19.99 per year, no commitment.

Prices include all taxes (VAT not applicable, article 293 B of the French General Tax Code). Premium gives you unlimited collections and group creation, and access to the collections shared with you.

Payment and renewal

Payment is made by card via Stripe. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until it is cancelled. If the price changes, you will be notified before the renewal concerned and can cancel.

Cancellation

• Yearly plan: can be cancelled at any time from My account. Premium stays active until the end of the period already paid, then is not renewed.
• Monthly plan: can be cancelled from My account once the 12-month commitment is over. Premium stays active until the end of the current month.
• Account deletion: immediately stops the subscription, whatever the plan, without refund of the current period (except withdrawal within 14 days, see below).

Right of withdrawal: 14 days to change your mind

You have 14 days from your subscription to change your mind, without giving any reason. Premium starts as soon as you pay, but this does not affect this right: if you withdraw within this period, you get a full refund, including the days already used.

To withdraw, send us a clear statement before the deadline, for example the form below, at [email protected], from your account's email address. We refund you within 14 days, to the card used for payment, and your subscription is stopped.

9. Availability and liability

We do our best to keep Glub running at all times, but cannot guarantee it: interruptions may occur, especially for maintenance. Glub is not responsible for content posted by members or for what happens when members meet. Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law guarantees you as a consumer.

10. Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time from My account → Delete my account. Your data and photos are then erased, as explained in the privacy policy.

11. Changes to these terms

These terms may change. In case of a significant change, you will be notified in the app before it takes effect. If you disagree, you can delete your account.

12. Disputes

These terms are governed by French law. If there is a problem, write to us first at [email protected]: we will look for an amicable solution. If that is not enough, you can use the consumer mediator free of charge: mediator being appointed (in the meantime, write to us at [email protected]). Otherwise, the French courts have jurisdiction, without prejudice to the protective rules of your country of residence.

The French version of these terms is the legally binding one.
